WOYWW......

What's on my work desk today?......Nothing at all because.....

Between the sitting room and my sewing room is where our new kitchen is going to be and those of you who call in on a Friday will see that my builders knocked the wall through last week so to get to my sewing room I have to climb over all the building materials and get in the builders way.  Plus this morning when I popped through, before the builders arrived,  this is what I have leaning up against the door and window outside making my sewing room dark and gloomy.

Also the builders use my sewing room to access the rest of the bungalow so there are dust sheets on the floor.....and a lot of dust on my work desk!!

Before I can get in there to sew I will now need to dust and clean it from top to bottom so for now I'm......

Back to knitting squares on my lap in the sitting room  :-)  It will be a baby blanket when I have made enough squares....not that I have a baby in mind just yet  :-)

It's what I do to keep me awake in the evenings :-)

So that's it from me for today.  Short and sweet just how Julia likes it.  Please leave me a little hello message to let me know you've called in and I will pop over to yours to see what you've been up to this week.  I'm certain it will be more interesting than mine.  :-)
Have a great week.
Hugs,
Annie x

hope the mess is gone soon - it's coming on well from what we've seen! Hope the dust is not getting in your machines, I am sure you have them well covered! Good luck with the squares. Helen 2

I'd have been out there shouting "get them shifted", but then I'm known for being abrupt at times. Your builders sound lovely though and funny. When we had the first floor added to our bungalow and lived through it all I used to be constantly chuckling to myself at the conversations I could hear them having between themselves. On a Friday they always had Chinese food for their lunch and quite often would bring me some.
It's a pain in the backside when you are going through all that work but so worth it in the end.
Looking forward to hearing and seeing more of the progress

Oh Annie, what a lot of work you are having done - but how wonderful it will all be when finished.
Hope you manage to keep the dust off your precious knitting - what a beautiful shade of blue that is.

You seem to be putting up with all the dust and dirt admirably. It will be a pleasure to see the end result and lovely to see you knitting squares for the little baby who isn't even thought of.

Don't think yours is not interesting. I've been following the whole process and it's getting exciting now. Nearly finished. It's worth it having to put up with all the mess, don't you think? So, happy knitting and I look forward to the next instalment.
Thanks for visiting earlier,
Have a good week,
Lisca

We're all agog to see how it turns out! I hope the builders aren't leaving too much dust in your sewing room...
We are kindred spirits because I do knitting or crochet in the evenings for exactly the same reason, lol!! The UK Handknitting blog page had some charities looking for knitties recently btw :-)

Remodeling can really upset your routines when you're living in the premises where it's taking place. However, the outcomes are usually worth it. Enjoy your knitting while you wait for the magic to happen on this happy WOYWW! #40

I bet you can't wait to get everything straight and dust free! It all sounds so exciting, I loved my new kitchen when it was finished, but hated the utter chaos of not having a fully functioning kitchen while it was being done! Hope you have a great week,

Hi Annie,

Too bad you'll have to do some major dusting before you sew again. Knitting on your lap is my kind of crafting lately! Although are you knitting or crocheting? Anyway, my lap is nice and comfortable to work on (tee hee).

Happy belated WOYWW
Thank you for visiting me already.

Hi Annie,I do not envy you all the dusting!I know every time we've had anything done it seems to take weeks to get rid of the dust-every time you clear it, it all reappears again. But the end result will be so worth it. Have a great week, hugs, Shaz #11 xxx
